In recognition of the cost of preparing children for the return to primary school each September Minister for Education Norma Foley T.D. has announced funding to provide free schoolbooks, including workbooks and copybooks, from September 2023. This scheme will eliminate the cost to parents of providing these resources.
Â
Children will receive all workbooks and copies needed in school. All schoolbooks will remain the property of the school so that books can be reused in future years. Schoolbooks will be provided on loan to children for the 2026/2027 school year and must be returned to school at the end of the school year.
Â
Parents are requested to remind their children to take care of their books and keep them in good condition during the year. It is not permitted to write on textbooks.
Â
It will be necessary for parents to cover the cost of additional resources for the children to use at school. These include Art & Craft resources, photocopying, printing costs, digital subscriptions Aladdin App and Personal Pupil 24 hour Insurance. The cost of School Supplies for 2026/27 school year is €50.
Â
We will offer you the facility to pay this fee online via Aladdin, towards the end of June.
Alternatively fees can be paid by bringing money to school in a clearly marked envelope with your daughter’s name and teacher’s name.
A free healthy school lunch is provided for all children each day from Fresh Today. This includes fruit and a snack at small break and a hot lunch at big break. New pupils will receive login details in September, the Fresh Today app will have to be downloaded onto your phone and parents can view the daily menu and choose your daughter’s lunch for each day.
Our school uses the Aladdin Schools software service for administrative purposes and Aladdin Connect will give you secure access to messages from the school and to view details of your child’s attendance and report cards.
Parents will receive a link by text or email to register to Aladdin Connect and set up your daughter’s account.
